Many files available on the internet are provided in PDF (Portable Document Format) files. Files ending in .pdf are PDF files. This format preserves the look and feel of the original printed page.

In order to view PDF files on your computer, you must have a PDF reader program installed. If you do not already have such a reader, you can download a free reader at Adobe's website: http://get.adobe.com/reader/

After installation, you should notice that the Adobe Reader plugin becomes a part of your browser, allowing you to view PDF's from browsers like Internet Explorer and Netscape. The reader software will also allow you to open and read PDF's saved on your hard drive or local network drive.

Related Letter to CB 8 - May 13,2009 (Hand Delivered)
The following letter from the Related Company's land use lawyers was delivered by hand to Community Board 8 a few hours before the board's land use committee meeting held on May 13, 2009. Eight months prior the board had written a letter to Related seeking information about their plans for the site. They did not reply until this letter was delivered.

Please Note:
The letter incorrectly states that Ruppert Playground was developed as a privately owned and maintained facility. Ruppert Playground was constructed in 1978 By HPD under the Interim Site Improvement Program (ISIP) using Federal Community Development (CD) grants. The playground officially opened on October 28, 1978 and was maintained by the Ruppert House Cooperative for five years. After that time the playground was sold to the Related Companies.
